“Man, you know what—I forgot. I’ll start on it now.” Dino leaves the room.
“Do you remember when you told me that you want to take a cruise?”
“Yeah, but that was for our honeymoon. We couldn’t afford it.” I reminded him how broke we were when we got married.
“Now we can. It’ll be for summer break. Brandon’s Mom said he can stay at their house for a week so we can take this trip Babe.” He pulls out two cruise tickets.
Why I am not impressed? Maybe because Brandon’s Mom was one of my husband’s many mistakes back when he was hoeing around.
“I bet she would. She’ll do anything for you, huh?” I felt some type of way. Having to see this woman when my child goes to her house to play with his best friend, sickens me. I can’t tear Junior away from his only best friend because his father can’t keep his dick in his pants. Every time she sees me, she’s scared of me whooping that ass again. Her voice becomes shaky and she keeps her head lowered, she never looks this Pitbull in the eyes. She knows I’ll attack her ass again. Rosalina is her name. She’s about 5’5, short Puerto Rican with thick long curly hair and is lot slimmer than me. Her ass is flatter than paper. The days when Mateo was cheating, I asked myself, “What did he see in these women?” He never had an affair with a black or white woman or even his own kind. They were either Puerto Rican or Mexican. Over the years, I tried to put his affairs in the back of mind and lock them up, until I needed them again. After what happened at Franklins condo, those affairs resurfaced to the front of my mind. Just knowing that a few years ago I was in Lola shoes, now I’m the that other woman who I hated so much. If it wasn’t for Mateo’s selfish ways, I would’ve cheated, he had it coming to him.
“Shay, I can’t keep apologizing for something I did years ago. What’d you want me to do, huh? Do you want me to stop Junior from going over his only best friend house? He’ll be devasted.” He acts as if it’s my fault that he couldn’t keep his dick in his pants.
“Whose fault would it be? Yours! So, do not act as if I did all the fucking Mateo. Why are these women still in our lives? You just had to go fuck Rosalina, huh?! Really, Mateo, Rosalina?! Our son only friend. How low can you really get?” The thought of him putting my dick inside of her makes me feel like our vows meant nothing.“This was supposed to be a happy moment and all I feel like doing is throwing up in your face.” My tone let Mateo know I am pissed. I need some air from him and the shenanigans of Franklin and his crazy ass wife.
Mateo shouted as I walk out the room. “Shay, where are you going?” The only answer he got from me was a door slam to his face. The only place in town I like to go to wine down is atNed’s Sports Bar. I drove five minutes from our apartment to Ned’s and took a seat at the hungry bar of drunks.
Bartender, “Shay Rosso. I haven’t seen you in months bitch, where you been?” Ned the bartender asked. He has always had a hard time being accepted in society because of his sexuality. Being a bi-sexual man has always been a challenge for him in life He opened Ned’s Sports Bar years ago, using the money his granny gave to him from her lottery winnings. Growing up he didn’t have the support from his parents and peers, that a teenager needed. He had no one to talk too about his sexuality, everyone had turned their back on him.
When Ned opened this bar, he initially did it to be the ears for the next person who needed someone to listen to since he didn’t have it growing up. He knows everything about me by my reoccurring visits here when me and Mateo was going through it.
I let out a deep sigh that only he would know what I’m going through.
Ned throws his hands in the air dramatically because that what he is, a dramatic queen & king. He already knows. “Say no more. Gin & coke, right?”
Shay, “Yea, but can I get it straight up Ned. I need it.” He pours Me a double shot of Gin while massaging his freshly cut goatee, trying to figure out my problem. “Girl, this is some tea, spill that shit girl! What’s been going on?” I take the double shot of Gin like a champ and pull out a Kool long cigarette and lit it.
“Oh, hell nah! You back smoking again? This shit gotta be good. Bitch spill the tea!” Ned’s feminine side came out. He twitches his wrist and put his hand on his hip. “Is Mateo ass cheating again?” I shook my head no, but I wish he was. Ned refills my glass with another shot. “Nah. At least I don’t think so.” I don’t think Ned is ready for this tea. I can always trust him with my deepest secrets, but this shit with Franklin, I’m not so sure about. Ned can’t stand politics nor Franklin. To Ned, Franklin is a liar, manipulator and has done nothing for the LGBTQ community. He has expressed to me so many times how much he hates our Mayor. If he knew about Me and Franklin, he just might make it even harder for her to get free drinks or come in his bar.
Ned read right through Me. “You bitch! Who are you fucking?” Ned’s manly tone came out when he said fucking. His deep, serious tone made me take a seat back.
“Where did that come from?” I asked.
Ned kept rambling on. “Bitch, I’m not all the way gay. There’s still man in me. Now spill it! Who’s this new mystery guy? Or new girl? Whatever floats yo’ boat girl, I’m down.”
I laugh at his silly ass. “You are impossible! You know I don’t roll that way. And there’s no mystery guy anymore because it’s over. We’re both married and it’s just wrong. You know…” I said as if I’m asking. Ned perched his lips, “Come on Shay! Was Mateo asking himself if he was wrong fo’ sticking his dick in every bitch in Atlanta? His dumb ass would bring ‘em to my bar and even ‘em horny asses up from here. I know your way smarter the him. Shit bitch, you probably fucking the president or something, yo’ standards are much higher than that husband of yours. Girl, I say get all the dick you can. Have a fucken dick fest on his ass. Shit, he did with the pussy.” I laugh so hard at Ned’s uncensored advice. Ned looked at the entrance door behind me with vengeance. “He has some fucken nerve walking his lying ass in my bar.” I’m confused into whom Ned is referring too. When I turn around, I’m shock too. Franklin took a seat next to me and ordered an expensive bottle of wine.
Chapter five – Franklin
“Hell no. Go next door to Molly’s Bar. You can’t get shit outta my bar.” This feminine and manly ass dude immediately felt intimidated by me, when I entered his bar. He was a ticking bomb ready to explode on my ass, but I didn’t give in, I’m here for one reason and one reason only and that’s Shay. She didn’t speak to me when I came in and sat next to her. Her gorgeous green eyes followed me until I spoke. “Hey.”
She perched her lips and nod.
I gathered my thoughts on how I’mma handle this over the top princess behind the bar. I put my game face and politician smile on. “What’s the problem with me drinking at your establishment?” I guess he felt the need to be extra dramatic, pacing the bar back and forth with one hand on his hip and the other one counting all the reasons why I can’t be here. “Well let’s see… You lied about helping families in the projects, instead your tearing the projects down to build high rises for the rich white folks. As if they don’t have everything already! Then you play like you all for Black Lives Matter but when a black man dies in police custody you still keep that mother fucker on payroll.” He throws both of his fist into the bar and size me up in my face. The man came out of him. “And what about the LGBTQ community? You done shit! Nothing! Instead all you did was entice everybody to hate and segregate us with your bullying. I want you out of my fucken bar, right now!” I laugh because he thinks he’s intimidating me. I eat Politian’s like him for breakfast. I respond calmly to his accusations. “I’m sorry you feel that way, but I do assure you that is not what I’m about. I’m assuming you don’t get into to politics because if you did, you would know that I have no control on what the community wants. I am against an even higher power that you wouldn’t understand, unless you’re willing to listen.”
He pulls on his ears to listen. “I’m listening, enlighten me because all I hear is bullshit. Bullshit. B
ullshit.”
Shay, “Ned, come on ease up. He’s trying to spend money with you. Give the man his drink.”
Ned smacks his teeth and points to the bathroom. “If he wants a drink the bathroom is that way. That’s what his ass needs to drink shit water because that’s all that comes out of his mouth is shit!” I let out cocky laugh, while still trying to keep my cool. “Ned is it? Well Ned, I hold conference meetings every other Wednesday’s with the LGBTQ community at the Lanes Park Center at 8pm. You should come. We’re getting closer and closer in making a breakthrough for more equality in our city.” Ned felt a huge brick being shoved into his big mouth. He never knew I was involved with the LGBTQ community or he wouldn’t had jumped down my throat. I went on to say. “And I’m not sure where you get your news from my brotha, but Mr. Wesley do not condone in any police brutality. We are worker closely with Governor Bill to pass a no tolerance police brutality Bill, that will immediately detain any officer who condone in brutality. And a maximum of 40 years for any assault on minorities, since they are more likely to affected by this. I think that’s fair don’t you. As for the projects, were not building high rises for the rich white folks. It is the rich white and black folks that invest their money in building this high rise, specifically for those who can’t afford housing. Everyone deserves to safe housing environment even those who can’t afford to live better. Not all news is real Ned. If you need any more real news, call me.” I gave Ned my business card.
Ned took the card. “8 o’clock right?!”
I laughed at how quick Ned accepted my invitation to his LGBTQ conference. “Yea, man 8 o’clock this Wednesday.” Ned slid his card into the back pocket of his jeans. “Here’s your bottle man. it’s on the house.”
I pull out four hundred-dollar bills from wallet and laid it on the bar. “Nah, I pay my way. Thanks though.”
Someone called Ned over for a drink. I was glad, it gives me time to be with Shay sexy ass.
“How did you know I was here?” She finally spoke to me.
“Do you want some?” I poured myself a glass of wine.
Shay replied distantly. “Nah, I’m good." Something was wrong. “What’s wrong with you? You okay?”
“No. Because the only place I can get away from you and Mateo, you happen to show up. So, are you gonna tell me how you found me? Did you google my location like last time?”
“Nah, your phone was off. I got your location from your GPS. What happened at home for you to be here?” She chuckles at my persistence in keeping tags on her. “Is everything okay at home? Did Lola-
She cuts me off and shook her head no. “No. She didn’t. Why are you here? I hope you’re not here to get me to change mind because I’m not Franklin. I love my husband. Even though I can’t get pass his cheating past.” I laugh when she tells me how much she is in love with her husband. Since when did she love her husband? The times she wasn’t riding my dick? All them women he supposedly dicked down and she still love his ass. “Yeah ok.” I grab my bottle and took a seat at an empty table, casting my bait in for Shay to follow. She takes the bait and ends up at my table in a dark secluded area, of the bar. “Why did you say yeah okay? I do love my husband.” She mumbled. I hate it with a passion when I hear her husband name roll from her mouth. “Whatever you say Shay. Love should had kept you home tonight. But instead you’re here with me.”
“Correction. You followed me here.”
I cockily chuckle at her sarcasm. “And look who followed me to my table.” I lean towards her. It was hard for me not look at her big jugs resting on the table. Damn her breast look like a feast on a dinner plate. “Did you go home and shower? Or am I still in you?” I lick my lips by the thought of being in her wetness of amusement rides again. My hunger for goose bumps on her arms. I know just the right words to turn her on and make her feel good. She covers her cleavage with her shoulder scarf. “I’ve already seen them before. You don’t have to hide them. Two times Shay… Two times.”
Shay responds. “You’ve seen them more than two times Franklin.”
“That’s not what I’m talking about Shay. You left me hard and dry two times. I think you need to make it up to me. Right here, right now.”
Shay laughs hard. “Boy bye. Get your wife to help you with that. I’m done. And I mean it.”
Who is she fooling? I could get her back again all I need to do is take a different approach. I’m always the one who chasing the cat but not this time. If Shay can’t chase me then I won’t chase her. “I will as soon as I finish my drink…” I warned her of my departure and poured myself another drink. “You love your husband?”
Her look told me, of course, you already know this. “Yea, Franklin.” She rubs the back of her neck and brought her attention to her half empty shot.
“Do you love me?” I asked unsure, of how she feels about me anymore.
She shrugged her shoulders. “I really don’t know how I feel about you Franklin. Your sex is amazing, and you make me feel good but the guilt knowing your married and I’m married is killing me. I don’t know if I have enough love in me to love another Man.”
I look deep into her eyes and saw something I never saw before. “This is why I can’t get enough of you Ms. Banks’ You speak from your heart. You’re not doing anything wrong. That guy you call a husband is a bad man. Who in their right mind, would ever cheat on a woman like you? Your too pure. He doesn’t deserve you Shay Banks, I do.” My words gave Shay hope that just maybe she’s not that bad of a person then what she thinks she is. “My name is Mrs. Rosso. And I know what he did. But we’re trying to move past that. I want him to be around for Junior. And we just bought a house to-
This was news to me. When did they buy a house in the past 2 hours? I interrupt her. “Wait, hold up when did you guys buy a house?” Shay waves it off, “Today but its a long story.”
I answer. “I’m ears.” Shay waves it off again. “I don’t wanna talk about it.” I accept her wishes and move on to another touchy subject. “Well let’s talk about our baby. You know… the one that you gave birth too. You we’re about to have my baby girl, doesn’t that mean something? Do you think ya’ll would still be together if you did?”
Shay begged Me not to take it there. “Just when I think your being sweet, you turn into an ass hole. You know I don’t like talking about this.” She downs the rest of her drink and make her way to exit the bar. “I’m out Ned. I’ll see you again sometime.” Ned nodded while attending to a customer. “Don’t make it 6 months or I’m coming to your crib girl!”
Shay, “I’ll call you tomorrow.”
Ned sends her a kiss in the air. “Alright, you better.” The way her round thick ass jiggled in that skirt made me want her more, she even had the men at the bar starring.
“Damn she’s fine.” I overheard Ned mumble. Damn, the entire time I thought the man was gay. I grabbed my bottle and fashionably made my way to the exit, giving Shay enough time to cool down.
Ned shouted out to me. “You leaving Boss?”
I wave back. “You ‘da Boss! Hit me up sometime.”
Ned nods. “I got cha in my back pocket.”
When I made it outside Shay was sitting in her black BMW on her cell phone. She unlocked her doors for me to get in. She mumbles while covering the receiver of her cell phone. “It’s Mateo, shhh.” There goes that name again that I hate so much. Why she loves this guy so much? It couldn’t be the sex, or she wouldn’t be with me.
“You and Dino finish packing. I’m gonna get a room. There’s nowhere to sleep and-
I’m burning a hole on the side her face with my hard stares, for her to get off the phone with him. Every time she talks to him, he set her off the wrong way. “We need to talk when I get home in the morning.” He tells her something that causes her tone to become soft and easy. “Mateo, please don’t do this…” I could hear Mateo calling out Shay’s name as she hung up.
“Come on let’s go.” I told her.
“Where’s your car?
 She asked me.
“Did you know just about anyone can GPS your car or cell phone? That’s what Lola did. That’s how she found out about the condo. So, I ditched the phone and took a taxi to Ned’s. I’m going wherever you’re going.”
“Ok. No paper trails?” She asked Me.
“No paper trail baby.”
chapter six-shay
His hands caressed my bare back, as our bodies grind hard together. The make out mountain is beautiful tonight; it made our organism more personal than ever. We didn’t care about having a bed or lights to be together. All we wanted was each other. In my car I laid on top of Franklin listening to that pace of his heartbeat. “Shay, I want you to come with me to the Mayors ball tomorrow night. Will you come with me?”
“Yes, I will. Do I have to get a gown, or can I use something in my closet?” I didn’t think twice before saying yes.
“I’ll get you a dress sent to your job. Or you can stay with me tomorrow and we can go from there.” It all sound so good to me but I know I must face Mateo sooner than later. “No, I can’t. I have to talk to Mateo.” Franklin sat up with me between his legs. “Are you gonna tell him about us?”
I shook my head no. “No. Why would I do that?”
Franklin growled. “Because it’s the right thing to do.”
I shook my head no. This is Franklin’ way of having me all to himself. “No, it’s not. It’s not a good time at all. But divorce might be n option for us. I just wanna make sure I am making the right decision Franklin.”
“Trust me, you will be making the right decision. He doesn’t deserve you Shay.”
I sigh at Franklin jealous gestures. “Let me be the judge of that please. I can’t have you in my ear and on my mind when I’m making my decision. After tomorrow, I don’t want to see you again until I figure this out. Just give me a week.”
Franklin, “That’s fair. That’ll give me enough time to sort some things out with Lola. I wanna meet your son too.”
